Position Summary:

As Associate Director, Commercial Strategy, you will be accountable for driving top of the funnel initiatives related to the company's translational services business and nurturing strategic partnerships. Through maintaining and cultivating relationships with established partners, this role will enable us to maximize the value delivered by both comarketing and direct sales efforts. The responsibility of the position includes working directly with the company's partners to enhance the visibility of the company's translational services business in the market, generating impactful content for the company, and enabling the company's business development team to grow the sales pipeline.

You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders including Inside Sales, Business Development, Marketing and various Subject Matter Experts on initiatives to generate impactful content and to grow the sales pipeline. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the clinical trial services business, tissue services (e.g., genomic, immunohistochemistry, digital pathology), and a proven track record of developing strategies and content on technologies that drive business growth in the industry.

Essential functions of the job include but are not limited to:
  • Build strategies to drive growth of specific service lines (e.g., tissue services, and biospecimens) through integrating these strategies into the broader business development playbook.
  • Partner closely with Inside Sales, Marketing, and Business Development to drive initiative impact.
  • Serve as point of contact for partnership related communications.
  • Facilitate the development of partnership-relevant content including abstracts, webinars, white papers, and other communications within the broader context of other company communications to drive top of the funnel growth and sales.
  • Coordinate sales enablement and training activities related to new and established partnerships.
  • Develop and manage the partner-related sales pipeline through Salesforce; provide regular reports to BD and Operations leadership, track partner inbounds and monitor pipeline progression.
  • Establish and track metrics to track the impact of our partnerships; and perform Quarterly Business Reviews with key internal stakeholders and each partner.
  • Identify relevant conferences, symposia, media events and co-sponsorship opportunities for placement and coordinate timely submissions and successful event execution in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Coordinate sales support and partner participation with customer meetings.

Qualifications

Minimum Required
  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline, preferably in genetics or molecular or cellular biology
  • 12+ years of experience in a combination of marketing, inside sales, and business development roles.

Other Required:
  • Proven experience within the healthcare industry, with an understanding of clinical trials, technology solutions and challenges in a competitive marketing landscape.
  • Experience in technology adoption and client education.
  • Proven track record in marketing technologies with successful track record of results.
  • Strong problem solving, and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • Extensive understanding of laboratory technologies and various applications to support clinical trials services.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak fluently and comprehend the English language

This compensation range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to: skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Precision, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. This role is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, health insurance, retirement savings benefits, life insurance and disability benefits, parental leave, and paid time off for sick leave and vacation, among other benefits.

$144,000-$216,000 USD
