About The Role
The Technical Writer position requires focused attention to details of high complexity products while establishing and/or optimizing the manufacturing assembly process through the writing of associated work instructions for manufacturing personnel.
This role is responsible for providing a standardized approach for implementing various Procedure/ instructions/photos to aid in assembly processes while achieving the highest quality and efficiency. This role is full time onsite role.

Our good faith estimate of the salary range for this role is $72,500-$94,000. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and other factors. In addition to base pay, we offer a highly competitive benefits package.

About The Role

This role is responsible for providing a standardized approach for implementing various Procedure/ instructions/photos to aid in assembly processes while achieving the highest quality and efficiency. This role is full time onsite role.
What You Will Do
- Write and update clear, concise, and accurate procedures and process documents
- Convert existing work instructions to a new format (will be trained on the use of the new software format).
- Understanding ISO requirements and updating or writing procedures based on the requirements.
- Implements ECNs, and deviations into work instructions/Procedures as required.
- Able to review and understand assembly drawings and instructions.
- Prepares process flows and assembly work instructions as required.
- Develops and ensures manufacturing processes are clear, robust, error proofed, and repeatable.
- Supports New Product Introduction (NPI) activities when establishing work instructions.
- Supports existing manufacturing activities to improve and update work instructions as requested.
- Assure that all required customers, industry, and company requirements are properly documented in the work instructions.
- Interfaces with the Manufacturing Team, Engineering, Quality, and Customers.
- Support all Global sites with anything related to work instruction creation, support, and conversions.
- Ensure that all documents are properly classified, filed, and stored in accordance with company policies and regulations.
- Work with internal teams to establish standard documentation templates, formats, and styles.
- Maintain and update a document database or library, ensuring that all documents are appropriately archived and indexed for quick retrieval.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify process improvement opportunities
- Conduct regular reviews and updates of existing procedures to ensure they are up to date
What You Need
- Associate's degree in business administration, communications, technical field, Technical Writing, or related field (experience in lieu of degree is appropriate)
- Minimum of 3 year of experience in procedure/manufacturing work instruction writing
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Attention to detail and excellent editing and proofreading skills
- Proficiency with MS Office, web-based applications, and other management tools
- Experience with technical writing and documentation in manufacturing, business or other analytic sector.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to quickly learn and understand complex processes and systems.
- Strong writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail
- Ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience
- Experience with process improvement and process mapping
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross functional team
- Clearly demonstrate flexibility and self-discipline to plan/accomplish objectives while multi-tasking and prioritizing.
- Prefer some previous experience work instruction software (VKS, ProPlanner preferred), ERP system experience, Adobe Acrobat, Autodesk or similar.
- Ability to work full time onsite.
