Job Description:

InGenesis is currently seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to work with our client. In this role, you will provide patient care support, assisting with patient access, reducing backlog, and coordinating infusion-related services. This role focuses on patient assessments, documentation, and collaboration with healthcare teams to ensure seamless infusion care and adherence to medical protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with patient access by reviewing and addressing backlogged cases.
  • Coordinate and respond to infusion-related inquiries and appointment scheduling.
  • Review upcoming infusion schedules to ensure patient consent and order approvals are complete.
  • Identify patterns in infusion scheduling to improve efficiency and patient care.
  • Manage verbal orders for critical lab results and approve infusions outside standard parameters.
  • Communicate with physicians and clinical teams to support patient care decisions.
  • Document progress notes and treatment plans in electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Assist with administrative tasks related to patient care, including referral coordination and scheduling follow-up

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in a medical oncology setting.
  • Active, hands-on experience within a medical oncology practice is required, ideally current or within the past three months.
  • Current licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) in the state of Texas
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with clinical teams
  • Master's degree preferred.
